The film "Întregalde", from Cannes to Sibiu. Director Radu Muntean will be present at the screening.

Saturday, August 7, 2021 - 16:42

Presented at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival last month (section Quinzaine des Réalisateurs), the newest film signed by Radu Muntean, Înregalde, a survival story, arrives in Sibiu in a special screening in which the director will also participate on Sunday, August 8, at 21.45 at the Astra Museum, at the lake scene.

“It’s a movie that invites the audience to heated discussions.” - Radu Muntean

The story begins with three townspeople who go to a village in Alba County to donate packages of food. On their way they meet an old man they want to help, but soon they get stuck in a ditch and have to spend the night in the woods.

The idea of the film started from the humanitarian expeditions that the offroad associations organize in winter, in remote areas, where locals live in harsh conditions and travel more slowly. The rest is fiction.

Most of the filming took place in Rîmeț, in very sparsely populated villages, with a modest infrastructure, surrounded by spectacular landscapes.

The cast includes: Maria Popistașu (Tuesday, after Christmas, Heidi), Ilona Brezoianu (Sieranevada, Urma) and Alex Bogdan (Ana, mon amour, Bad luck bangging or loony porn) together with Luca Sabin, Toma Cuzin (Aferim!, Treasure), Carmen Lopăzan and Gabor Bondi.

Originally scheduled on Sunday, August 8, at 9:45 in the above-ground parking lot of Promeanda Sibiu, the Întregalde screening was moved to the Astra Museum (the scene on the lake), still respecting the date and time initially announced.
